UPDATE: Feinstein Says Friday Vote ‘Too Soon,’ Moves to Keep FBI Findings from Public

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.02.18

Sen. Dianne Feinstein weighed-in on Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination process Tuesday, saying Mitch McConnell’s Friday vote was simply “too soon” and legislators need more time to “put all the facts together.”

Feinstein was speaking with reporters at the Capitol when she urged Senate leadership to delay the proposed vote over the potential Supreme Court Justice.

“Well, I believe it is. I believe it’s too soon,” said the leading Democrat. “It’s Tuesday and we have to put all the facts together.”

Feinstein went on to say the findings of the FBI investigation into allegations of sexual assault should be “held” from the public if it reveals the identities of those involved, adding “It would seem to me that if people are going to be identified, this ought to be held very close.”

“Feinstein, who led her Democratic colleagues in calling for the confirmation vote to be delayed pending an FBI probe, said Tuesday that the report detailing the findings of the investigation should not be made public,” writes the National Review.

GRASSLEY SPEAKS: Senate Judiciary Chairman Releases Kavanaugh Statement

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.17.18

Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley released a statement regarding President Trump’s pick to join the Supreme Court Monday afternoon; saying Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser “deserves to be heard” in an “appropriate manner.”

Grassley officially commented on the growing controversy just days after Sen. Dianne Feinstein disclosed a letter sent to the FBI that contained allegations of sexual misconduct when Kavanaugh attended high school approximately 35 years ago.

“Anyone who comes forward as Dr. Ford has deserves to be heard, so I will continue working on a way to hear her out in an appropriate, precedented and respectful manner,” said the statement from Grassley’s office.

The Senator added the Judiciary Committee will be “working diligently to get to the bottom of these claims.”

“The standard procedure for updates to any nominee’s background investigation file is to conduct separate follow-up calls with relevant parties,” said the statement.

HANNITY: The left's Kavanaugh Tactics Should Disgust Every American

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.25.18

Judge Brett Kavanaugh is fighting back and standing up for his good name and his reputation, and he is demanding a fair process.  He says he won’t be intimidated.

After days of negotiations with the Senate Judiciary Committee, Professor Christine Ford has now agreed to testify about the allegations she made against Judge Kavanaugh.  Let me be perfectly clear.  These are serious allegations.  I’ve said it many times.  Professor Ford deserves to be heard, and those allegations and accusations should be taken seriously.

And this coming Thursday, you the American people will be able to hear from both Professor Ford and Judge Kavanaugh in an open setting.  Now, Chairman Grassley of the Senate Judiciary Committee, he was right to hold this hearing, and the Republicans have been and are being extremely fair and accommodating and they are taking these allegations seriously.

But we need to a step back and we need to remember what we’re talking about here.  These are 35-year-old sexual misconduct allegations made by Professor Ford to congressional Democrats.  Now, the claims date back to when Ford and Kavanaugh were in high school.

Senator Dianne Feinstein, she has been aware of Professor Ford’s allegations since July.  She sat on them.  She kept them a secret, until after Kavanaugh’s public hearing and after lengthy meetings with Judge Kavanaugh.

In fact, Dianne Feinstein refused to give Senate Republicans — her colleagues — the full unredacted letter where accusations were first made back in July until today.

Now, Professor Ford cannot remember the date or location of the alleged incident. The four witnesses that Ford herself listed to corroborate her claims, they are all now on record denying what Ford is alleging.

Real smears, real character assassination, and it happens predictably every election season and it happens with Supreme Court nominees.

This is a gutter politics at its worst and sadly, we are going to see more and more of these tactics as we now march, what, 43 days or so towards the midterms.
