posted by Hannity Staff - 10.05.18

Sen. Jeff Flake confirmed Friday afternoon he intends to “vote yes” on Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing barring any “big changes” or major revelations regarding the potential Supreme Court Justice.

Flake was speaking with reporters at the US Capitol following Friday’s procedural vote to advance Kavanaugh’s nomination; saying “Yes, unless something really big changes, I don’t see what would” when asked about his upcoming vote.

“Of course. Of course. This is a difficult decision for everybody. It really is. And so, anyway. we did our best,” said the GOP Senator when asked if it was tough decision to advance Kavanaugh’s confirmation process. “But anyway, I’m glad we had a better process. We needed a better process.”

Flake’s commitment sets the stage for Saturday’s historic vote, with Sen. Susan Collins saying she plans to announce her decision at 3pm Friday.

BOOKER: Withdraw Kavanaugh’s Nomination ‘Whether He’s Innocent or Guilty’

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.03.18

Sen. Cory Booker weighed-in on Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s stalled confirmation process Tuesday morning; saying President Trump should withdraw his nomination whether he’s “innocent or guilty” of allegations of sexual assault in the early 1980s.

Booker was speaking with reporters at the Capitol when he was pressed on whether the Senate should move forward on a vote this Friday to determine the future of Kavanaugh’s nomination.

“My hope is that beyond the vicious partisan rancor, beyond the accusations, we don’t lose sight of what this moral moment is about in this country. And ultimately ask ourselves the question: Is this the right person to sit on the highest court in the land for a lifetime appointment?” asked Booker.

“Ultimately—not whether he’s innocent or guilty, this is not a trial … have enough questions been raised that we should not move on to another candidate?” he added.

COURT CHAOS: Kavanaugh Hearing Interrupted by Protesters, Dems Call for DELAY

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.04.18

The hearings surrounding President Trump’s nominee to join the Supreme Court descended into chaos Tuesday morning, with liberal protesters chanting “vote no” as Congressional Democrats called for an indefinite postponement.

“Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley was able to deliver his opening statement for just a few seconds before Democratic California Sen. Kamala Harris raised objections to the committee just receiving a batch of 42,000 documents relating to the nominee’s work with past administrations,” writes Fox News.

“We cannot possibly move forward,” said Sen. Harris.

Sen. Cory Booker slammed Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley moments later, saying the proceedings violated his “sense of decency.”

“I think you are taking advantage of my decency and my integrity,” Grassley fired-back.
