VEGAS MYSTERY: FBI Finds ‘No Clear Motive’ Behind Deadliest Mass Shooting in US History

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.29.19

A wealthy gambler who opened fire at a Las Vegas music festival in 2017 and left 58 people dead left no clear motive or reason behind his devastating rampage, confirms the FBI and local law enforcement.

According to the Associated Press, FBI officials told reporters the motivation behind Stephen Paddock’s assault from his Mandalay Bay hotel suite will likely never be known.

“It wasn’t about MGM, Mandalay Bay or a specific casino or venue,” said the Special Agent in Charge of the agency’s Las Vegas office. “It was all about doing the maximum amount of damage and him obtaining some form of infamy.”

“The reason for Paddock’s rampage remains a mystery after months of study by agents and behavioral specialists. Almost 900 people were injured during the Oct. 1, 2017, attack on an outdoor country music concert,” writes the AP.

The 64-year-old shooter was a retired post office employee and real estate investor. He was well-known among Vegas employees as a high-roller who would bet $10,000 per hand on video poker machines.

VEGAS MYSTERY DEEPENS: Mandalay Bay Says Timeline 'Still Not Accurate'

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.09.17

The management company that runs the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino corrected the police timeline for a second time on Thursday, saying that roughly 40 seconds elapsed between the time a security guard radioed for help and the beginning of Stephen Paddock’s deadly rampage.

According to the Los Angeles Times, MGM Resorts International managers released a statement saying they were “now confident” that the official police timeline was off by approximately six minutes; adding that security guard Jesus Campos reported “shots fired” on the 32nd floor just seconds before the massacre.

“We know that shots were being fired at the festival lot at the same time as, or within 40 seconds after, the time Jesus Campos first reported that shots were fired over the radio,” said the management team.

Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo had previously stated there was a six-minute gap between Campos’ injury and the mass shooting, and initially reported that the guard was shot during Paddock’s assault.

The company’s statement confirms that the security agent was injured before Paddock opened fire on a country music festival; raising serious questions over why it took police more than ten minutes to reach the gunman’s suite.

The new timeline is a stark contrast to previous police statements that claimed the officers took approximately 12 minutes to reach the 32nd floor because they were conducting floor to floor searches, unable to locate Paddock’s position.

VEGAS MYSTERY DEEPENS: Police Find Child Porn, STOCKPILES of Weapons

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.19.18

Investigators and local police held their first press conference in over three months on Friday, updating the public on the escalating questions and bizarre theories surrounding Stephen Paddock’s murderous rampage on the Las Vegas Strip.

Sheriff Joe Lombardo spoke publicly regarding the ongoing investigation for the first time since October 13, releasing an 81-page report on the mass shooting that seemed to raise more questions than it answered.

Lombardo told journalists in Las Vegas that investigators had discovered “numerous” child pornography images on the gunman’s laptop, as well as Google searches on how to evade SWAT tactics and information on multiple public venues.

Law enforcement went on to confirm they were actively investigating an unidentified “person of interest” in connection with the case, but added the suspect was not Paddock’s girlfriend Marilou Danley. The report then details Paddock’s increasing stockpile of deadly weapons, saying from 2016 to 2017 the gunman legally purchased “55 firearms.”

“I realize it’s been three months since you have received an update on the 1 October shooting,” Lombardo told reporters Friday afternoon. “We have done a lot of work trying to piece together what happened.”

“This report won’t answer every question, or even the biggest question as to why he did what he did,” Lombardo said. “We are all going to have to be patient and let the investigation run its course.”
