posted by Hannity Staff - 12.13.18

The First Lady of the United States Melania Trump sat down with Sean Hannity Wednesday after visiting American servicemen and women aboard the USS George H.W. Bush; saying she made the trip to show military families the country stands firmly “behind them.”

“I watched you with all these troops today… You decided to do this trip. Tell me more about that,” asked Hannity.

“I wanted to come and visit the military families and the servicemen and women. It’s very important that we support them. The holidays are coming and many of them won’t be with their families. For me it’s very important to show them the President and I and the country, we are behind them,” said the First Lady.

MELANIA ABROAD: The First Lady Touches Down in Ghana on First Solo Trip

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.02.18

First Lady Melania Trump landed in Ghana Tuesday; kicking off her first solo international trip without President Trump where she plans to visit five countries in just five days.

According to Fox News, Mrs. Trump is expected to stop at schools, hospitals, and orphanages and intends to focus on the health and well-being of children; echoing her ‘Be Best’ campaign aimed to “shine a spotlight” on bullying and other issues impacting young people.

“Trump, 48, also had tea with Ghana’s first lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, at the presidential palace, known as the Jubilee House. The two women traded gifts: a White House tray in a signed leather case for Akufo-Addo and a Kente cloth and artifacts for Trump,” writes Fox.

After Ghana, the First Lady will travel to Malawi, Kenya, and Egypt.

MELANIA ON #MeTOO: I Stand with Women, but ‘We Need Evidence’

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.10.18

First Lady Melania Trump delivered her first major interview with ABC News during her recent trip to Africa this week; saying she absolutely “supports women” coming forward with allegations of sexual assault but “we need to show the evidence.”

Mrs. Trump was speaking with ABC’s Tom Llamas in an interview set for release Wednesday when she weighed-in on Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation battle and the growing “Me Too” movement.

“I do stand with women, but we need to show the evidence,” the First Lady told ABC News. “You cannot just say to somebody, ‘I was sexually assaulted,’ or ‘you did that to me.’ Because sometimes the media goes too far, and the way they portray some stories, it’s not correct. It’s not right.”

“What is your take about the #MeToo movement, though? Do you believe in them? Do you support the #MeToo movement?” asked ABC’s Tom Llamas.

“I support the women, and they need to be heard,” said Mrs. Trump. “We need to support them and also men, not just women.”
