WEST COAST CHAOS: Los Angeles 'DRUG LOUNGES' Poised to Open

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.04.18

The state of California is preparing to take its war against the Trump administration to the next level in the coming weeks, with local authorities poised to legalize “drug bars” throughout the nation’s second largest city.

According to Bloomberg, the Los Angeles City Council has authorized dozens of applications for the city’s first legalized marijuana lounges last week, clearing the path for European-style drug bars that can sell cannabis, coffee, food, but are barred from dispensing alcohol.

“The stakes are high. West Hollywood is one of the first cities in the country to introduce these kinds of licenses, and the winners will be allowed to create the equivalent of alcohol-fueled social bars for cannabis users — sans booze,” writes Bloomberg.

Two other cities in California -San Francisco and Oakland- already issue similar permits, setting the stage for a showdown with the Trump administration which has already pledged to enforce federal guidelines on the banned substance.

CALIFORNIA CHAOS: Los Angeles Eyes LEGAL Drug Lounges

The nation’s second-largest metropolis is poised to issue permits for legal “pot lounges” in the coming weeks; paving the way for Amsterdam-style coffee shops across Los Angeles.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the City of Angels is prepared to join San Francisco and Oakland in allowing the European-inspired shops; permitting patrons to purchase and smoke marijuana in a “social setting.”

“Since California voters legalized cannabis in 2016, some cities have embraced marijuana dispensaries, while others have actively fought against pot sales. The state is home to the largest legal pot market in the country, and proponents see lounges as the next step in embracing pot sales and creating avenues for safe use,” writes the Times.

“Consumption lounges are important because marijuana has been legalized, but where can people go to safely consume?” asked a pro-pot business manager from West Hollywood.

The moves comes as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called for the decriminalization of marijuana nationwide; allowing states to decide whether to permit the drug or not.

CALIFORNIA CHAOS: San Francisco to Permit DRUG LOUNGES Throughout the City

The ‘Sanctuary City’ of San Francisco is permitting European-style marijuana lounges to open all over the Bay Area; allowing Americans to openly use drugs in specialty shops and outright ignoring federal law.

According to Yahoo News, San Francisco’s ‘Marijuana Czar’ Nicole Elliott announced her decision to begin permitting businesses to construct specifically-designed stores that allow the consumption of cannabis on the premises.

“Elliot said new permits will be issued once city health officials finalize regulations designed to protect workers from secondhand smoke and the neighborhood from unwelcomed odors,” writes Yahoo.

“The lounges are required to install expensive heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems to prevent the distinct marijuana odor from leaking outside,” the site adds.

The permits are yet another example of the California’s total disregard for federal guidelines and regulations.

This week, the state Senate bucked the Trump administration and appointed for the first time in its history an illegal immigrant to state office; escalating its all-out war with the White House over federal guidelines regarding undocumented workers.
