APPEASEMENT: Susan Rice Calls on Trump to 'Tolerate' Nuclear North Korea

The former National Security Advisor for President Barack Obama thinks the United States should dial-back its efforts to confront Kim Jong Un’s weapons program, saying the US should give-up and learn to “tolerate” a nuclear-armed North Korea.

Susan Rice made her shocking claim in an op-ed piece in the New York Times, where she slammed President Trump’s “empty threat of nuclear war” and other comments that “further erode American credibility.”

The senior Obama aide urged American officials to avoid war at all costs and accept North Korea as a full-fledged nuclear power.

“War is not necessary to achieve prevention, despite what some in the Trump administration seem to have concluded,” writes Rice. “History shows that we can, if we must, tolerate nuclear weapons in North Korea — the same way we tolerated the far greater threat of thousands of Soviet nuclear weapons during the Cold War.”

“To avoid blundering into a costly war, the United States needs to immediately halt the reckless rhetoric,” she added.

Rice’s article was published just hours after North Korea released its attack plans against Guam, a US territory roughly 2,000 miles southeast of the Korean peninsula and home to seven major American military installations.
