REPORT: Obama Knew About Kim's Nukes in 2013, Tried to Conceal Story

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.03.17

Former President Barack Obama was briefed on North Korea’s nuclear capability back in 2013, when the Defense Intelligence Agency informed the White House that Kim Jong Un had miniaturized a nuclear warhead capable of being placed on top of a long-range missile.

According to Fox News, the House Armed Services Committee received classified material from the DIA that said US intelligence agencies had “moderate confidence” that North Korea had nuclear weapons small enough to be launched at long-range targets.

The Obama administration tried to diminish the report, saying the disclosure was not “conclusive” and did not “reflect” the opinions of other intelligence services. If acknowledged, the classified findings would have undermined Obama’s policy of “strategic patience” with the North Korean regime.

“It would be inaccurate to suggest that the North Korean regime has fully tested, developed, or demonstrated the kinds of nuclear capabilities referenced in the passage,” said a Pentagon spokesman in April 2013.

This week, American officials confirmed that North Korea does, indeed, have nuclear weapons small enough to be placed on an ICBM, as well as the technical expertise to deliver those weapons to targets as far away as Chicago and possibly New York City.

President Trump fired-back at the North Korean regime after the surprise announcement, saying the communist nation would face “fire and fury” if they continued to threaten the United States with nuclear war.
