PATHETIC: Keith Ellison Says Trump More Dangerous than Kim Jong Un

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.12.17

Hyper-liberal representative Keith Ellison apologized for remarks he made over the weekend that suggested President Donald Trump was more dangerous than North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, saying he regrets his choice of words while describing the escalating nuclear crisis.

Ellison came under fire after criticizing Trump’s “fire and fury” rhetoric, implying the American leader was intentionally escalating the already tense situation.

“North Korea is a serious thing. You have this guy making bellicose threats against somebody else who has very little to lose over there. Kim Jong Un, the world always thought he was not a responsible leader, well he’s acting more responsible than this guy is,” said Ellison. What I’m tell you, is that once you start seeing missile launches… the time for cranking up the anti-war machine is right now.”

Within hours, the liberal representative retracted his comments in an interview with the Washington Post.

“That was one of those I wish I’d not said,” said Ellison. “It’s tailor-made for somebody to misuse. I’d say, he’s being incredibly irresponsible, and he’s putting us in a situation where you could have an accidental launch.”

President Trump doubled-down on his harsh rhetoric against the North Korean dictator last week, assuring Americans around the world that any actions against the US or its allies would be met with a fierce response.

“If [Kim] utters one threat in the form of an overt threat … or if he does anything with respect to Guam or any place else that’s an American territory or an American ally, he will truly regret it and he will regret it fast,” Trump told reporters in New Jersey.
