WATCH: Cuccinelli Tells Bernie Spokesperson to 'Just Shut Up' on CNN

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.08.17

The former Attorney General of Virginia got into a heated exchange with a spokesman for Bernie Sanders’ failed democratic presidential campaign on Monday, telling the woman to “shut up” after she repeatedly called the Trump administration “racist” and said he was “making excuses” for white supremacists.

Ken Cuccinelli lashed-out at Symone Sanders on CNN after she repeatedly interrupted the GOP politician’s attempts to discuss the protests that rocked Virginia over the weekend.

“Ken Cuccinelli are you really going to dismiss this as though this is not bigger and more serious than just Charlottesville? Charlottesville is an egregious symptom of what is wrong with parts of all of America,” said Sanders.

“You know what white supremacists are all about. You know what Robert E. Lee evokes. That’s what they use for the basis for coming to gather. What is your point of disagreement exactly?” asked host Chris Cuomo.

The GOP politician attempted multiple times to explain his position, but was repeatedly interrupted by Sanders, claiming he was justifying the white nationalist demonstrators.

“Can I finish Symone? Will you just shut up for a minute and let me finish?” asked an angry Cuccinelli.

“You are trying to defend and excuse white supremacists on this program, and under no circumstances will I allow that to happen. So you can shut up,” shot-back Sanders.
