Heather Heyer was killed over the weekend when a man intentionally drove his car into a crowd of protesters during a “Unite the Right” white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The attack killed Heyer and injured twenty.

The President harshly condemned all hate groups during a press conference Monday, saying racism is “evil” and those who commit acts of violence in its name are “criminals” who need to be prosecuted.

“Racism is evil and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, Neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate groups that are repugnant to what we hold dear as Americans,” said the President.
