MOVE ON: Democrats Fret Over Hillary's 2016 Memoir

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.16.17

Prominent democrats and liberal lawmakers aren’t too excited about Hillary Clinton’s upcoming memoir regarding the 2016 presidential election, with many in the party hoping she would just “move on” and stay away from the public eye ahead of the upcoming midterm elections.

The democratic party is hoping to make-up ground in 2018 after a string of special election defeats left DNC officials reeling, and many are worried that the former Secretary of State’s new book could help bring GOP voters back to the polls.

Liberals are worried that Clinton’s memoir, titled “What Happened” could open old wounds the party would rather forget, especially Hillary’s allegations that former FBI director James Comey and Russian “hacking” cost her the White House.

Leading democrats have openly called for Clinton to avoid the spotlight in recent weeks, hoping she can put her stunning election defeat behind her.

“I think she’s the smartest, toughest, hardest-working person I know,” said Sen. Al Franken in June. “And I think she has a right to analyze what happened, but we do have to move on.”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer echoed Franken’s comments several weeks later, saying “When you lose to somebody who has 40-percent popularity, you don’t blame other things -Comey, Russia- you blame yourself.”

“What Happened” will be released nationwide on September 12th, with a book-tour to follow.
