The images are being labeled as “an answer” by North Korean state-run news, claiming the new propaganda pieces are in response to the crippling UN sanctions placed on the communist nation last week.
Tensions between Pyongyang and the United States are at an all-time high as dictator Kim Jong Un continues to test long-range missiles and advance his nuclear weapons program. The situation nearly boiled-over last week, when Kim threatened to launch four missiles towards the US territory of Guam. He eventually backed-off his threat against the island, but warned he could change his mind “at any moment.”
The President praised Kim’s decision to stand-down on social media, saying he made a “very wise and well-reasoned decision,” but added that any attempt to strike Guam would be “catastrophic” for the North Korean regime.
