Another deadly terror attack rocked the Spanish coastal city of Cambrils overnight, leaving one woman dead and several injured just hours after a van smashed into a crowd of pedestrians in Barcelona, killing 13 people and injuring over one hundred.
According to Fox News, the incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in the peaceful seaside town, when five attackers drove their Audi SUV onto the boardwalk and eventually flipped the vehicle.
The terrorists exited the car and went on a stabbing spree, killing one woman and injuring nearly a dozen. Law enforcement shot and killed five suspects, who were reportedly wearing phony suicide vests to fend off police.
Spanish officials confirmed that the two attacks were related.
A massive manhunt is currently underway for the driver of the van in the initial Barcelona attack, who managed to evade police in the immediate aftermath of the incident.
Preliminary reports estimate that nationals from 24 different countries are among the victims of the attack; including France, Germany, Pakistan, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
President Trump offered his condolences to the victims of the Spanish attacks, saying “The United States condemns the terror attack in Barcelona, Spain, and will do whatever is necessary to help. Be tough & strong, we love you!”
