President Trump addressed local Texans after an emergency response meeting in Corpus Christi Tuesday, telling the residents that “Texas can handle anything!” and waving the Lone Star State’s flag as the crowd went wild.
The President, First Lady, and several cabinet members arrived in south Texas on Tuesday to survey the damage of Hurricane Harvey, a devastating storm that has caused severe flooding throughout the state.
After a meeting at the Annaville Fire Department, the President addressed a crowd of supporters gathered on the side of the road.
The President spoke from a ladder leaned against a pick-up truck, telling Texans, “This has been a total cooperative effort. Again, we will see you soon. I will tell you, this is historic, it’s epic what happened. But you know what? It happened in Texas and Texas can handle anything!”
The President then unfurled the Texan flag as supporters cheered.
