FBI, DHS Call Antifa 'Domestic Terrorists,' Warn of Future Attacks

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.10.17

The federal government has warned state and local authorities that the violent left-wing hate group known as Antifa is planning future attacks across the country, labeling their recent activities as “domestic terrorist violence,” reports Politico.

The FBI and Department of Homeland Security has been ringing alarm bells over the organization since early 2016, pointing out their members and tactics have become “increasingly confrontational” and violent. In April of that year, the federal government released a memo stating that Antifa and “anarchist extremists” were to blame for violence seen at political rallies throughout the country.

“It was in that period that we really became aware of them,” a member of law enforcement told Politico. “These Antifa guys were showing up with weapons, shields and bike helmets and just beating the s*** out of people. … They’re using Molotov cocktails, they’re starting fires, they’re throwing bombs and smashing windows.”

“Everybody is wondering, ‘What are we gonna do? How are we gonna deal with this?'” he added.

“Both the racists and a segment of violent antifa counter-protestors are amped for battle in an escalating arms race, where police departments are outmaneuvered, resulting in increasingly violent dangerous confrontations,” said a former NYPD officer.

President Trump came under fire from liberal democrats and the mainstream media last month after he said the despicable violence seen in Charlottesville, Virginia came from “many sides.” Earlier this week, House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi echoed the President’s comments, saying you “cant fight hate with hate.”
