A federal judge has ordered the FBI to make public the bureau’s information regarding its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server, demanding the agency hand over “uncensored” documentation relating to grand jury subpoenas.
US District Judge James Boasberg made the decision, forcing the FBI to release previously unseen information at the core of Clinton’s investigation.
The material focuses on grand jury subpoenas sent to Hillary’s internet service providers, compelling them to hand-in any information relating to the former Secretary’s private email system.
The decision was in response to a request from Judicial Watch and Cause of Action Institute, two watchdog organizations focused on governmental transparency and accountability.
“I applaud the court’s opinion. The government attempted to end a case with evidence no one could review. This order makes public details submitted by the government about the FBI’s efforts to recover then-Secretary Clinton’s unlawfully removed emails,” said Cause of Action President John Vecchione.
“Americans deserve to know the full scope of that investigation, and we, as Plaintiffs, should have an opportunity to contest the relevance of the government’s facts,” he added.
