WATCH: Sarah Huckabee Sanders SHUTS DOWN CNN's Jim Acosta

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.14.17

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders shut-down CNN’ Jim Acosta on Tuesday, slamming the reporter as he repeatedly asserted the President was putting illegal immigrants’ “lives on the line” by phasing out Obama’s DACA program.

Huckabee Sanders was taking questions during a White House press briefing when the senior White House correspondent attacked the President, asking why Attorney General Jeff Sessions made the announcement regarding Obama’s illegal immigration program.

“It sounds like the President is saying, and you’re saying, that if we’re going to allow the ‘dreamers’ to stay in this country we want a wall. Is that accurate?” asked Acosta.

“I don’t think that the President’s been shy about the fact that he wants a wall, and certainly [it] is something that he feels is an important part of a responsible immigration reform package,” fired-back Sanders.

“Why did the President not come out and make this announcement himself today?” pressed the CNN correspondent. “It’s his decision. These kids, their lives are on the line because of what he’s doing. Why not have him come out and make this call?”

“It’s in large part a big part of the legal process. This was deemed illegal by […] just about every legal expert you can find in the country, including many of Obama’s own attorneys,” responded the Press Secretary. “Therefor it would be the Department of Justice to make a legal recommendation and that’s what they did.”
