North Korea’s Foreign Minister addressed reporters in New York City on Monday, telling the crowd that President Trump has effectively “declared war” on the communist nation; adding they were prepared to “shoot down” American fighter jets and bombers operating in the region.
“Since the U.S. declared war on our country, we will have every right to make countermeasures, including the right to shoot down the U.S. bombers even when they are not yet inside the airspace border of our country,” said North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho.
“Last weekend, Trump claimed that our leadership wouldn’t be around much longer and he declared a war on our country,” he said. “Even the fact that this comes from someone who is currently holding the seat of the U.S. presidency is clearly a declaration of war.”
The war of words between President Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un reached new heights this week, after the communist despot called Trump a “deranged” individual after the President’s fiery address before the United Nations General Assembly last Tuesday.
Trump lashed-out at Kim over the weekend, saying if he went ahead with reported plans to test a hydrogen bomb over the pacific ocean, he “won’t be around” much longer.
“Just heard Foreign Minister of North Korea speak at U.N. If he echoes thoughts of Little Rocket Man, they won’t be around much longer!” tweeted the President.
