Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi had a tough-time during her interview with ‘Meet the Press’ on Sunday, stuttering her words and struggling to accurately pronounce NFL player Colin Kaepernick’s name while smearing President Trump’s latest comments on the league’s ongoing controversy.
The House Minority Leader was speaking with MSNBC’s Chuck Todd over the weekend, weighing-in on the President’s threat to boycott the NFL until the organization changes its policies regarding protesting players.
“I imagine I know where you are on the President’s comments on this. What would you like him to try to do if you think he would do it?” asked Todd.
“I’d like him to do what he said he would do when he ran and when he was inaugurated, to bring people together. He should see this as an opportunity,” said Pelosi.
The former Speaker then struggled three-times to accurately pronounce the athlete’s name at the center of the raging controversy.
“Colin Kaepernick doing what he did, says this flag enables me to do this. This national anthem enables me to do this. This is about freedom of expression,” she finally said.
