LAST MAN STANDING: Tim Allen Says Hit Show Was Too 'Dangerous' for ABC

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.06.17

Television funny-man Tim Allen lashed-out at left-leaning ABC executives during a fiery interview Tuesday, saying the network shut-down his hit sitcom simply because it featured “likeable, conservative characters” the network deemed “dangerous.”

The sitcom star was speaking with fellow comedian Norm McDonald when he weighed-in on the network’s decision to cancel his hit show, “Last Man Standing” despite stellar ratings and critical reviews.

“You couldn’t have handled this worse,” said Allen. “It was handled very badly.”

“Second biggest show, [The network] hadn’t won a Friday night in 15 years,” he said. “They put us out to pasture on Friday and we won Friday. Big night for us, big night for them. I would have put Roseanne after us […] Use us just to launch shows, if nothing else,” said the comedian.

“I have no idea why they did what they did,” he added. “There’s nothing more dangerous to me, especially in this climate, then a funny, likeable conservative. The guy was a likeable guy, he really was a principled guy about work and ethics. I think there’s nothing more dangerous right now than a likeable conservative.”
