Supporters of President Donald Trump and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders joined forces this week, protesting Hillary Clinton’s never-ending excuses tour as she stopped in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday evening.
The former Secretary of State addressed a crowd of nearly 3,000 at her event in the Broward County Center for the Performing Arts, but the real story occurred outside the arena; where pro-Trump demonstrators united with Bernie Sanders’ supporters.
Video of the odd-pairing emerged on social media within minutes, with one Sanders supporter repeatedly complimenting pro-Trump activists holding placards that read, “What happened in Benghazi?”
“You guys are a lot better mannered than those Hillary people,” said the Sanders voter.
Both camps posed for photographs; exchanging high-fives and chatting as Clinton called for “common sense gun reform” inside the auditorium.
The doomed democratic nominee has come under fire from not only GOP lawmakers, but many democrats who are desperate to turn the page from the 2016 general election.
Throughout her book tour, the former Secretary of State has lashed-out at a host of external factors as the cause behind her stunning defeat. The list includes: Russia, the FBI, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, the DNC, and Bernie Sanders.
