White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders called-out CNN senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta on Monday, slamming the reporter for continuing the network’s non-stop obsession with the Russia-Trump collusion narrative and asking him to “finish his monologue.”
“How can you describe Mr. Papadopoulos as having a limited role when there’s a photograph of Mr. Papadopoulos sitting at a table with then-candidate Trump,” asked the CNN White House correspondent.
“The President has thousands of photographs with millions of people,” fired-back Sanders.
“How is it not collusion when George Papadopoulos is in contact with various people who are promising dirt on Hillary Clinton? A series of events that closely mirrors what occurred with the President’s own son,” pressed Acosta.
“Finish your monologue,” said the Press Secretary. “This individual was the member of a volunteer advisory council that met one time over the course of a year.”
“I hardly call that some sort of regular adviser,” she added. “He was not paid by the campaign, he was a volunteer on a council that met once.”
