Kim Jong Un escalated his war of words with President Trump on Wednesday, warning the Commander-in-Chief he will face the “abyss of doom” if he continues to demand the communist nation abandon its nuclear and missile programs.
According to Fox News, Kim’s regime released the threat just hours after Trump addressed the South Korean Assembly, telling the despot not “to try” the United States military as the two-nations continue to trade barbs.
“The U.S. must oust the lunatic old man from power and withdraw the hostile policy towards [North Korea] at once in order to get rid of the abyss of doom,” read the statement. “The U.S. had better make a decisive choice…if it does not want a horrible nuclear disaster and tragic doom.”
On Tuesday, President Trump issued a stark warning to the hermit kingdom, saying the “dark path” they have chosen will ultimately bring about the end of Kim’s regime.
“North Korea is not the paradise your grandfather envisioned. It is a hell that no person deserves,” said the President. “We will offer a path to a much better future. It begins with an end to the aggression of your regime, a stop to your development of ballistic missiles, and complete, verifiable and total denuclearization.”
