BERNIE’S DYNASTY: Sanders’ SON to Run for CONGRESS in New Hampshire

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.27.18

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders’ son, Levi Sanders, officially announced his plans to run for Congress in New Hampshire this week to replace outgoing Democrat Carol Porter; pledging to work for average, “hard working” Americans living in the Granite State.

“This is a unique opportunity to listen to the hard working men and women of New Hampshire about the issues that matter to them,” said the Congressional hopeful.

“For 15 years, New Hampshire has been my family’s home,” he added.

Unlike his father, the 48-year old liberal politician plans to run as a full-fledged member of the Democratic Party.

Despite their different affiliations, Levi’s platform mirrors much of Bernie’s presidential promises; a single payer healthcare system, free college tuition, a higher minimum wage, and higher taxes on the wealthiest Americans.

“I am very proud of Levi’s commitment to public service and his years of work on behalf of low income and working people,” said Bernie. “Levi will be running his own campaign, in his own way, with his own ideas. The decision as to who to vote for will be determined by the people of New Hampshire’s first district, and nobody else.”

BERNIE’S BACK! The Socialist Senator HITS THE CAMPAIGN Trail in Iowa

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.13.18

Vermont Senator and former presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders is back in Iowa, campaigning for a former staffer running for Congress in the pivotal state and raising new questions about a possible run for the White House in 2020.

According to the Des Moines Register, the socialist Senator will deliver the keynote speech at an event for Democrat Pete D’Alessandro later this month; marking the third time Sanders has returned to the state since his failed bid for the Oval Office in 2016.

“Bernie knows that we need bold, progressive leaders in Congress if we’re going to change the direction of our country,” said D’Alessandro. “That’s why I’m proudly supporting Medicare for All, a $15/hour living wage, and free college tuition for those who work hard. We can take our country back and continue the movement Bernie started here in 2016.”

While the Senator has remained quiet about another run for the White House, he continues to lead fellow Democrats in recent polling.

The hyper-liberal Congressman still receives high-levels of support from the progressive wing of the Democratic party, many of whom feel the Senator faced an unfair fight against Hillary Clinton during the 2016 primaries.

FLASHBACK: Bernie Says Medicare-for-All Would 'Bankrupt the Nation'

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.07.17

Socialist Senator Bernier Sanders –who just this week unveiled a universal healthcare bill- admitted back in 1987 that a single-payer plan would carry an “astronomical” cost and would likely “bankrupt the nation.”

Sanders was speaking with a local Vermont television station when he made the surprising admission, saying that adopting a Canadian healthcare model in the United States would be far too expensive.

“You want to guarantee that all people have access to health care as you do in Canada,” said Sanders.

“But I think what we understand is that unless we change the funding system and the control mechanism in this country to do that—for example, if we expanded Medicaid to everybody,” he added, “Give everybody a Medicaid card—we would be spending such an astronomical sum of money that, you know, we would bankrupt the nation.”

30 years later, Bernie Sanders is pushing exactly the type of healthcare system he critiqued back in 1987; unveiling new legislation this week that he described as “Medicare-for-all.”

Bernie’s proposal is expected to cost an “astronomical” $32 trillion over a ten-year period; a figure that would likely “bankrupt the nation.”
