BREAKING: Scott Pruitt OUT at EPA

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.05.18

Scott Pruitt has stepped down from his post as the head of the Environmental Protection Agency Thursday; resigning after a series of scandals and controversies threatened to derail his ability to lead the EPA.

The President announced Pruitt’s resignation on social media, saying “I have accepted the resignation of Scott Pruitt as the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. Within the Agency Scott has done an outstanding job, and I will always be thankful to him for this. The Senate confirmed Deputy at EPA, Andrew Wheeler, will on Monday assume duties as the acting Administrator of the EPA. I have no doubt that Andy will continue on with our great and lasting EPA agenda. We have made tremendous progress and the future of the EPA is very bright!”

In his letter to the President, Pruitt writes, “It is extremely difficult for me to cease serving you in this role first because I count it a blessing to be serving you in any capacity, but also, because of the transformative work that is occurring.”

“However, the unrelenting attacks on me personally [and] my family, are unprecedented and have taken a sizable toll on all of us,” he added.

FIREWORKS: Trump’s CIA Nominee EDUCATES Democrats Over ‘Terrorism’

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.09.18

President Trump’s nominee to lead the CIA educated Congressional Democrats over the use of “enhanced interrogation techniques” during her confirmation hearing Wednesday, blasting liberal Senators for confusing “terrorists” with intelligence officers.

Gina Haspel was speaking with Democrat Sen. Jack Reed when she was asked to comment on the CIA’s prior use of “waterboarding” terror suspects under extreme circumstances; a practice now barred by the US Congress.

“Would you determine that to be immoral and something that should never be done, condoned in any way, shape, or form?” Reed asked. “Your response seems to be that civilized nations don’t do it, but uncivilized nations do it, or uncivilized groups do it. A civilized nation was doing it until it was outlawed by this Congress.”

“Senator, I would never obviously support inhumane treatment of any CIA officers,” Haspel said. “We’ve lost CIA officers over the years to terrorists. I just gave an example. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed personally killed a Wall Street Journal correspondent and filmed that. I don’t think there’s any comparison between CIA officers serving their country, adhering to U.S. law, and terrorists who, by their very definition, are not following anybody’s law.”

ANOTHER EXCUSE: Politico Blames Hillary's ELECTION DISASTER On... Local Newspapers?

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.09.18

Online magazine Politico achieved the impossible this weekend, finding a completely new excuse for Hillary Clinton’s surprise defeat to Donald Trump in November 2016; this time blaming “newspaper subscriptions” for the electoral landslide.

Politico published an article Sunday titled, “Trump thrives in areas that lack traditional news outlets,” suggesting the President was able to “Swamp Clinton” in areas that had low subscription rates to local newspapers.

The data suggests those voters relied on national news outlets and social media for information instead of more traditional media outlets such as newspapers and local television reports.

“President Donald Trump’s attacks on the mainstream media may be rooted in statistical reality: An extensive review of subscription data and election results shows that Trump outperformed the previous Republican nominee, Mitt Romney, in counties with the lowest numbers of news subscribers, but didn’t do nearly as well in areas with heavier circulation,” writes the author.

“The results show a clear correlation between low subscription rates and Trump’s success in the 2016 election, both against Hillary Clinton and when compared to Romney in 2012,” adds the article.
