BROWARD BOMBSHELL: New Report Shows Police ‘HIDING’ During Parkland Massacre

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.24.18

A shocking official report from the Coral Springs Police Department sheds new light on the Broward County officers’ response to a Florida school shooting; accusing the deputies of “hiding behind trees” as the massacre unfolded.

The exposé from Officer Byran Wilkins -who arrived on the scene within minutes of the rampage- claims the Broward County Deputies were “taking cover” behind trees and cars as gunshots rang out at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

“I saw approximately four Broward County Sheriff’s Office vehicles parked in the west bound lane with their personnel taking up exterior positions behind their vehicles,” Wilkins wrote. “I drove up just west of the campus building 1200, exited my vehicle, grabbed my AR-15 rifle and donned on my tactical/medical gear. As I was advancing on foot through the chain-link fence, I was advised by an unknown BSO Deputy taking cover behind a tree, ‘he is on the third floor.'”

Seventeen people were killed and dozens injured after 19-year old Nikolas Cruz opened fire at his former high school; sparking a nationwide debate over gun control legislation and school safety.

AMERICAN HEROES: Florida Survivors Used BULLET PROOF SHEETS to Protect Fellow Students

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.20.18

Two survivors at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in southern Florida used “Kevlar sheets” from a Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps course to help shield their fellow students from a hail of gunfire; saving countless lives and untold injuries during the mass shooting.

The students spoke with Tampa’s Fox affiliate, discussing their plan to protect those around them when they began to “hear the pops” as 19-year old Nikolas Cruz opened fire on students at the local high school.

“I heard the pops, I heard the fire drill, and I knew there was a shooter,” said one student. “I looked at all the kids behind me, just looking at me frozen, and I yelled to them ‘Run back to the classroom, go back now!”

“In our JROTC program, we have a team that’s called marksmanship, so our backdrop for the targets that we shoot are actually kevlar sheets that we hang,” he added. “We put everybody behind them. That way they were all at least somewhat safe because the kevlar—it wouldn’t have stopped a bullet, but it would have slowed it down a lot so that the damage someone would have received from it, God forbid, would have been a lot less.”

BROWARD BACKLASH: Florida Sheriff Faces ‘NO CONFIDENCE’ Vote from His Own Deputies

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.20.18

Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel found himself in hot-water Friday, facing a “no confidence” vote from his own department after multiple “failures” have “crushed moral” throughout the agency.

According to NBC Miami, Sheriff Scott Israel will face the up-or-down vote from his own deputies following his handling and response to the deadly shooting that stunned South Florida earlier this year.

“The move comes as Israel and his agency have been heavily criticized for their response during and after the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in which 17 people, mostly teenage students, were shot dead,” writes NBC.

In a written statement, the official association of deputies said the vote was necessary following “many instances of suspected malfeasance, misfeasance, failure to maintain fiduciary responsibility by the Sheriff, failure to properly investigate possible criminal conduct by members of his senior command staff and the lack of leadership that has crushed morale through the agency.”
