BROWARD BOMBSHELL: Newspaper Slams Florida District’s ‘CULTURE of TOLERANCE’

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.14.18

A leading south Florida newspaper slammed the Broward County School District’s “culture of tolerance” over the weekend, saying troubled students like the Parkland shooter routinely slip through the cracks and evade law enforcement.

The bombshell article called on Broward school officials to end the PROMISE program that effectively shielded students like 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz from police in an effort to stop the “school-to-prison” pipeline.

Critics say the program allows troubled teens to go under-the-radar for years.

“Broward Schools have grown so tolerant of misbehavior that students like Nikolas Cruz are able to slide by for years without strict punishment for conduct that could be criminal,” writes the Sun Sentinel.

“The culture of leniency allows children to engage in an endless loop of violations and second chances, creating a system where kids who commit the same offense for the 10th time may be treated like it’s the first,” adds the author.

“I had three students bring knives to my classroom. One was out of the classroom for one day. Another had so many things on his record, he was gone for five days. None were expelled,” a 37-year teaching veteran from the district told the Sentinel.

BROWARD BOMBSHELL: Deputy TOLD POLICE to 'STAY AWAY' from High School During Shooting

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.09.18

The disgraced Sheriff’s Deputy who maintained a “defensive position” and refused to enter the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School during last month’s mass shooting reportedly told fellow officers to “stay away” from the building; instructing them to remain at least 500 feet back as people lay dying.

According to the Miami Herald, Deputy Scot Peterson told the Broward County Sheriff’s Department, “Do not approach the 12 or 1300 building, stay at least 500 feet away.” Newly released audiotape of police scanners confirm Peterson’s comments; with screams heard in the background as the shooting unfolded.

The records confirm Peterson was well aware that the incident was occurring inside the building; directly refuting his claims he believed the gunman was last seen near the football field.

“It certainly backs up that he never went into the school,” said the president of the Broward County Sheriff’s police union. “At one point he says to keep back 500 feet. Why would he say that?”

Peterson became the center of a media firestorm after reports emerged he refused to enter the building as the carnage unfolded; allowing 19-year old Nikolas Cruz to kill 17 people and injure dozens more without confrontation.

BROWARD BOMBSHELL: New Report Shows Police ‘HIDING’ During Parkland Massacre

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.24.18

A shocking official report from the Coral Springs Police Department sheds new light on the Broward County officers’ response to a Florida school shooting; accusing the deputies of “hiding behind trees” as the massacre unfolded.

The exposé from Officer Byran Wilkins -who arrived on the scene within minutes of the rampage- claims the Broward County Deputies were “taking cover” behind trees and cars as gunshots rang out at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

“I saw approximately four Broward County Sheriff’s Office vehicles parked in the west bound lane with their personnel taking up exterior positions behind their vehicles,” Wilkins wrote. “I drove up just west of the campus building 1200, exited my vehicle, grabbed my AR-15 rifle and donned on my tactical/medical gear. As I was advancing on foot through the chain-link fence, I was advised by an unknown BSO Deputy taking cover behind a tree, ‘he is on the third floor.'”

Seventeen people were killed and dozens injured after 19-year old Nikolas Cruz opened fire at his former high school; sparking a nationwide debate over gun control legislation and school safety.
