CALIFORNIA REVOLT: More Cities FIGHTING BACK Against ‘Sanctuary’ Disaster

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.16.18

More municipalities and towns across California are fighting back against the state’s ‘sanctuary’ policies that strictly limit law enforcement’s ability to fight illegal immigration; voting to join the Trump administration’s legal battle against the ‘west coast chaos.’

According to the Sacramento Bee, cities throughout the Golden State are preparing public hearings and votes on whether to join the Department of Justice’s courtroom fight against the “unconstitutional” guidelines.

“At least a dozen local governments have voted to either join or support the lawsuit or for resolutions opposing the state’s position. Those include the Board of Supervisors in Orange County, which has more than 3 million people,” writes the Bee.

In a major blow to the state’s immigration law, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors is preparing to meet to discuss joining Trump’s legal battle against California.

The President and Attorney General toured the region weeks ago; inspecting border wall prototypes and vowing to crackdown on rising crime and rampant homelessness.

CALIFORNIA REVOLT: Three More Towns VOTE OUT of ‘Sanctuary City’ Disaster

Three more cities have officially opted out of California’s unconstitutional ‘Sanctuary’ policies; joining the Trump administration in its courtroom battle against the Golden State’s illegal law that shields undocumented immigrants from federal agents.

According to Fox News, the Newport Beach city council voted unanimously to challenge California’s hot-button law; joining “a dozen” other municipalities that are currently considering their options to waive the statewide policy.

“It’s a tool in the toolbox for our police to help keep criminals off the street,” Newport Beach Councilman Scott Peotter said.

The local politician then slammed Governor Jerry Brown and his refusal to cooperate with the Trump administration; adding the Governor was sending his National Guard to the border but “not for immigration.”

“You listen to Jerry Brown, and he’s sending [troops] there for other reasons. Not for immigration purposes,” he said. “In either event, the troops end up being at the border.”

BLUE STATE BLUES: Liberals REVOLT After Trump Adds ‘Citizenship Status’ to US CENSUS

For the first time in decades the 2020 U.S. Census questionnaire will ask American households whether current residents are American citizens; sparking outrage from liberal lawmakers and the mainstream media over fears it would “intimidate” immigrants from submitting the form.

According to ABC News, multiple state attorneys threatened to sue the federal government over the proposed change; saying it might undermine the integrity of the constitutionally-mandated population count.

The data is used by both the federal government and local officials to distribute money, allocate school funds, and even determine the number of Congressional representatives allotted to each state.

“Secretary Ross determined that obtaining complete and accurate information to meet this legitimate government purpose outweighed the limited potential adverse impacts,” the department said in its announcement.

California’s Attorney General Xavier Becerra slammed the decision, saying “We’re prepared to do what we must to protect California from a deficient Census.”

“The Constitution requires us to count every person living in the United States, not every citizen,” added Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin.
