CONFUSION GPS: Grassley Trashes Founder's Testimony as an 'OUTRIGHT LIE'

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.31.18

Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley called-out the Fusion GPS founder over his “extremely misleading” testimony before Congress Thursday, saying his remarks may have been an “outright lie.”

Grassley sent a scathing letter to Democratic Senator Christopher Coons this week, slamming Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson’s official appearance before Congress; saying “As we now know, that was extremely misleading, if not an outright lie,” regarding Simpson’s claims he “had no client after the election.”

“Contrary to Mr. Simpson’s denial in the staff interview, according to the FBI and others, Fusion actually did continue Trump dossier work for a new client after the election,” said the letter.

“The letter cites the House Intelligence Committee’s Republican-authored Russia report, which included a footnote detailing a March 2017 interview between the FBI and Daniel J. Jones, a former staffer for Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein. According to the footnote, Jones told agents he was leading a research organization called the Penn Quarter Group,” writes Fox News.

BOMBSHELL REPORT: Fusion GPS STILL SPYING on President Trump

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.16.18

The controversial research firm Fusion GPS is still investigating alleged ties between President Trump’s 2016 election campaign and Russia, according to several sources who spoke to this reporter.

What’s not known is who is paying for the continuing research? Fusion GPS officials could not be reached immediately for comment.

In October, the Washington Post revealed that Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton campaign paid the now embattled research firm Fusion GPS to fund the research into the dossier. Marc E. Elias, who was a lawyer representing the Clinton campaign and the DNC allegedly retained Fusion GPS, but the campaign failed to disclose those payments on its finance records.

Rep. Ron DeSantis, a Florida Republican and Chairman of the National Security Subcommittee, sent a letter last week to House Speaker Paul Ryan, asking him to direct Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes , R-CA to declassify documents given to the committee related to the dossier. He asked Nunes to utilize the process known as Rule X to make the documents available to the American people and said Fusion GPS’s continuing research into President Trump should be investigated.

DeSantis told this reporter that releasing the information on the dossier and the classified FISA applications is the first step in getting the truth to the public.

“Congress needs to determine the role played by Fusion GPS in the Russia matter and that includes any current Fusion activity,” said DeSantis. “Fusion has not been forthright with Congress and the American people deserve the facts.”

DEADLY DOSSIER: Fusion GPS Says People Have BEEN MURDERED Over Trump Dossier

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.09.18

The attorney representing the shady opposition firm Fusion GPS shocked lawmakers earlier this year, telling congressional investigators that somebody’s already “been killed” in the aftermath of the publication of the now debunked ‘Trump Dossier,’ raising new questions over how the document was financed and created.

Lawyers defending Fusion GPS used the strange assertion to help protect their sources behind the shady dossier, saying the firm wants to be “very careful” to prevent future casualties.

“He wants to be very careful to protect his sources,” Josh Levy, an attorney for Fusion GPS told the Senate Judiciary Committee in August. “Somebody’s already been killed as a result of the publication of this dossier and no harm should come to anybody related to this honest work.”

According to Fox News, Levy’s statement is contained in a flood of transcripts released by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who published the lengthy interview between investigators and Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson.

“The innuendo and misinformation circulating about the transcript are part of a deeply troubling effort to undermine the investigation into potential collusion and obstruction of justice,” Feinstein said in a statement. “The only way to set the record straight is to make the transcript public.”
