DEVIN’S DEADLINE: Nunes Warns of ‘HELL TO PAY’ Over Russia Docs

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.18.18

House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes warned DOJ officials Sunday that there will be “hell to pay” should they refuse to handover documents related to the Russian probe by Wednesday morning, reports the New York Post.

Nunes was speaking with Fox News over the weekend when he doubled-down on previous threats to hold DOJ and FBI officials “in contempt” over their efforts to stonewall the House’s investigation into the year-long Russia probe.

“There’s going to be hell to pay by Wednesday morning,” said Rep. Devin Nunes.

“We can hold in contempt. We can pass sense-of-Congress resolutions. We can impeach — I think we’re getting close to there,” he added.

Nunes’ comments come just days after multiple sources reported that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened Congressional members and their staffers with ‘subpoenas’ over their role in requesting the Russia-related material.

DEVIN’S DEADLINE: Nunes Demands Material on ‘FBI Informant’ Within 24 Hours or It’s ‘OBSTRUCTION’

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.11.18

Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes issued a stark warning to the Department of Justice Monday, instructing officials to hand over documents related to the ‘FBI informant’ in the Trump campaign or face obstruction charges.

Nunes sent a scathing letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein this week, informing the DOJ official that any “delay” in producing the requested material would result in the “obstruction of a lawful, Congressional investigation.”

“DOJ continues to obfuscate and delay its production using an array of tactics, such as incorrectly categorizing the requested documents as Gang-of-Eight-level material in order to limit access,” states the letter. “Such conduct by DOJ is unacceptable because the Gang-of-Eight is a legal fiction that has no basis outside of the confines of Presidential approval and reporting of covert actions.”

“I will not relent in my duties on behalf of the American public to discover all the facts in this matter,” he added.

DEVIN’S DEADLINE: Nunes Gives FBI ONE WEEK to Hand Over RUSSIA INTEL

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.05.18

House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes threatened to sue the Department of Justice and the FBI this week over their continued refusal to release official documents related to the ongoing Russia probe.

Rep. Nunes sent a scathing letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein demanding the material; saying the officials failed to comply with subpoenas issued last month.

“On March 14th, 2018, Committee investigators were given access to a still heavily redacted version of the EC (FBI memo known as an electronic communication), which — as I informed Director Wray the next day via phone — was unsatisfactory,” Nunes wrote.

“On March 23, 2018, FBI’s Assistant Director for Legislative Affairs informed the Committee that FBI would refuse to further unredact the EC (FBI memo) based on its sensitivity. The document in question is not highly classified, and law enforcement sources have apparently not been shy about leaking to the press information that the Department and Bureau refuse to share with Congress,” he added.

“You are hereby directed to produce to the Committee, by Wednesday April 11, 2018, an unredacted version of the EC,” he concluded.
