DIANNE DENIED: California Democrats REFUSE to Endorse Sen. Feinstein

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.26.18

Longstanding US Senator Dianne Feinstein was harshly rebuked by California Democrats over the weekend; failing to secure enough votes to officially garner her party’s endorsement as she hopes to win her fifth term in office.

The Senator was unable to secure the 60% threshold necessary for the party to endorse a specific candidate, with upcoming progressive politician Kevin de Leon making deep inroads into Feinstein’s liberal base.

“With Democrats still licking their wounds from the 2016 election, some of the party’s biggest stars, including U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris and U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, urged unity ahead of the midterm elections,” writes ABC News. “They reminded more than 3,000 activists gathered this weekend that President Donald Trump is their common enemy.”

Kevin de Leon rose to prominence in recent months after authoring the party’s ‘Sanctuary State’ legislation, a bill that limits local authorities’ cooperation with federal authorities in cracking down in illegal immigration.

The party’s indecision highlights a major rift within the progressive movement, with politicians and activists unsure how to tackle President Trump and their GOP opponents ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.

DNC DISASTER: GOP Raising TWICE AS MUCH MONEY Going into 2018 Midterms

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.21.18

The Republican National Committee is raking in donations at record levels as GOP poll numbers continue to soar; raising over twice as much money as the DNC heading into the upcoming 2018 midterm elections.

The RNC announced Wednesday morning that it raised over $12 million in January alone and nearly $150 million in the overall “2018 election cycle.” Those figures offer a stark comparison to the $66 million raised by the Democratic National Committee heading into the hotly-contested midterms.

Making things even worse for the Democratic Party is its high-levels of spending. The DNC forked out over $71 million ahead of this year’s election; leaving the organization nearly $6 million in debt.

“As we head into the 2018 midterm elections, the Republican Party continues to break fundraising records,” said RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel.

“We are working hand-in-hand with Republicans in Congress and President Trump to enact a pro-growth agenda on behalf of the American people. In doing so, we will continue to invest in our ground game, data operations, technology and Party infrastructure to win elections in 2018 and beyond,” she added.

HE’S BACK: Obama RETURNS to Campaign Trail for 2018 Midterms

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.18.18

Former President Barack Obama will officially hit the campaign trail later this year; stumping for Democratic hopefuls in gubernatorial, Senate, and House races across the country to help liberals regain control of the US Congress after the 2018 midterm elections.

According to Politico, Obama plans to make the rounds for Democratic candidates this fall, appearing at rallies, campaign events, and fundraising dinners to propel left-wing legislators into office.

“Obama isn’t expecting to make campaign appearances until the fall, people who’ve been working on the plans say, and when he does, he will take cues from the National Democratic Redistricting Committee in looking for endorsements and appearances that play up redistricting,” writes Politico.

“He’s going to be out there for candidates, he’ll be out there helping us in meaningful ways, not just in fundraising,” said DNC boss Tom Perez. “The guy was a state senator in ’04, and he was president of the United States four years later. He knows something about winning elections and building a brand.”

This won’t be the first time the former President weighed-in on national elections. Last year, Obama actively campaigned for Ralph Northam in Virginia’s governor race, and made robocalls for Democrat Doug Jones in his race against Roy Moore in Alabama’s highly-contested special election.
