Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein stunned her Congressional colleagues Thursday; publicly stating she sent a mysterious letter to the FBI regarding Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing.
The liberal lawmaker’s comments strangely suggest Trump’s Supreme Court pick could be “guilty of a crime” as leading Democrats move to delay the confirmation hearings.
“I have received information from an individual concerning the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court,” Feinstein said in her last-minute statement. “That individual strongly requested confidentiality, declined to come forward or press the matter further, and I have honored that decision. I have, however, referred the matter to federal investigative authorities.”
“Throughout his confirmation process, Judge Kavanaugh has had 65 meetings with senators—including with Senator Feinstein—sat through over 30 hours of testimony, addressed over 2,000 questions in a public setting and additional questions in a confidential session,” said a White House spokesperson. “Not until the eve of his confirmation has Sen. Feinstein or anyone raised the specter of new ‘information’ about him.”

APOCALYPSE NOW: Feinstein Warns ‘PEOPLE WILL DIE’ if Gov Shuts Down
Leading Democrats have officially abandoned their dire predictions of ‘Armageddon’ surrounding the GOP tax cuts, but are now warning that “people will die” should the government shut down Friday evening; saying the move will cause “necessary functions” to cease for civilians throughout the country.
Left-leaning Senator Dianne Feinstein escalated her war of words with her Congressional opponents on Thursday, breathlessly claiming the pending shutdown would likely cause death and destruction for an untold number of Americans.
“Shutting down the government is a very serious thing. People die, accidents happen. You don’t know. Necessary functions can cease,” Feinstein told CNN.
“There is no specific list you can look at and make a judgment: ‘Well everything is going to be just fine.’ You can’t make that judgment. So, I think it’s a last resort. And I’m really hopeful we don’t get to it,” she added.
Despite the liberal Senator’s concerns, Feinstein announced she will not vote for any budget deal that doesn’t include a ‘Dream Act.’
“I won’t vote for a CR without the Dream Act. We need to get the Dream Act passed, negotiate a multi-year budget agreement and fund the government through September, and we need to do so now,” Feinstein tweeted.
BRAIN FREEZE: Feinstein ‘REGRETS’ Releasing Transcripts, Blames ‘BAD COLD’
Prominent Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein said this week that she “regrets” publishing congressional interviews with Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson, saying a “bad cold” may have “slowed down her mental facilities.”
The liberal lawmaker was speaking with NBC News when she pressed to explain her decision to unilaterally release the transcripts without speaking with other members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, mainly Chairman Chuck Grassley.
“The one regret I have is that I should have spoke with Senator Grassley before. And I don’t make an excuse but I’ve had a bad cold and maybe that slowed down my mental facilities a little bit,” said Feinstein.
Sen. Grassley expressed his confusion and outright anger over Feinstein’s decision earlier this week, saying he was “confounded” as to why she would release the transcripts without speaking with other members of the Committee.
President Trump himself weighed-in on the issue on social media Wednesday, blasting “Sneaky Dianne Feinstein” for releasing Congressional testimony in an “underhanded and possibly illegal way.”
The fact that Sneaky Dianne Feinstein, who has on numerous occasions stated that collusion between Trump/Russia has not been found, would release testimony in such an underhanded and possibly illegal way, totally without authorization, is a disgrace. Must have tough Primary!
