DNC DISASTER: Republicans GAIN in NEW POLLS After ‘Schumer Shutdown’

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.14.18

New polling shows Republicans heading into the pivotal 2018 midterm elections with the wind at their backs; erasing Democratic gains for the first time since last spring as President Trump’s approval ratings continue to rise.

According to Politico, President Trump’s job performance inched higher following a disastrous month for Democrats; with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer caving on DACA, the budget, and the government shutdown.

“Fully 39 percent of registered voters say they would support the GOP candidate for Congress in their district, while 38 percent would back the Democratic candidate. Nearly a quarter of voters, 23 percent, are undecided,” writes Politico.

The polls show GOP candidates wiping out Democratic gains in recent months, shrinking their ten point generic advantage to a one point deficit against their Republican opponents.

The new data also shows President Trump’s approval rating matching his disapproval rating at 47%.

“Not only have Republicans increased support on the generic congressional ballot, they are now trusted more to handle the most important issue when voters head to the polls: the economy,” Morning Consult’s co-founder told Politico.

HE’S BACK: Obama RETURNS to Campaign Trail for 2018 Midterms

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.18.18

Former President Barack Obama will officially hit the campaign trail later this year; stumping for Democratic hopefuls in gubernatorial, Senate, and House races across the country to help liberals regain control of the US Congress after the 2018 midterm elections.

According to Politico, Obama plans to make the rounds for Democratic candidates this fall, appearing at rallies, campaign events, and fundraising dinners to propel left-wing legislators into office.

“Obama isn’t expecting to make campaign appearances until the fall, people who’ve been working on the plans say, and when he does, he will take cues from the National Democratic Redistricting Committee in looking for endorsements and appearances that play up redistricting,” writes Politico.

“He’s going to be out there for candidates, he’ll be out there helping us in meaningful ways, not just in fundraising,” said DNC boss Tom Perez. “The guy was a state senator in ’04, and he was president of the United States four years later. He knows something about winning elections and building a brand.”

This won’t be the first time the former President weighed-in on national elections. Last year, Obama actively campaigned for Ralph Northam in Virginia’s governor race, and made robocalls for Democrat Doug Jones in his race against Roy Moore in Alabama’s highly-contested special election.

UNDER THE BUS: Liberals Say Clinton ‘TOO TOXIC’ for 2018 Midterms

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.14.18

Liberal legislators and left-wing activists have had enough of the Clintons and their political baggage; with 2018 hopefuls turning their backs on the Democratic dynasty and saying the couple is “too toxic” to campaign during the upcoming midterm elections.

According to Politico, Democrats looking to capitalize on the growing “Me Too” movement and claim moral high-ground on the sexual harassment scandals sweeping the country are trying to turn the page on Bill Clinton’s sordid history of misconduct and controversies.

“[Bill Clinton] just brings up a lot of issues that will be very tough for Democrats. And I think we all have to be clear about what the #MeToo movement was,” said Rep. Jayapal of Washington, a prominent leader of the House Progressive Caucus.

“I value the assets of what the Clintons can bring. He did a lot for Georgia when he was president,” added Rep. Porter. “He carried Georgia. The personal side that is now being highlighted, we’ll have to measure.”

Clinton insiders claim the former President is too busy working on his upcoming book to stump during the 2018 midterms, adding “President Clinton has been diligently working on his book.”

“He’s also been focused on the work of his foundation,” the insider added. “So, beyond a few requests for support and advice from a few candidates, he hasn’t spent much time on the midterms.”
