EMERGENCY BYPASS: President Trump Pushes ‘Low Cost’ ALTERNATIVE to OBAMACARE

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.20.18

President Trump pushed for a lower-cost, Obamacare relief package this week; urging GOP lawmakers to get behind his plans to offer cheaper, less comprehensive plans than those required under his predecessor’s failing healthcare law.

According to Fox News, the Trump administration pushed the revised guidelines to the nation’s largest insurance providers Tuesday, hoping “alternative plans” would help lower premiums and drive down costs in the highly regulated marketplace.

The new plan also allows insurers to raise prices to individuals who have a problematic medical history.

“We need to be opening up more affordable alternatives,” Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar told reporters. “It’s one step in the direction of providing Americans with alternatives that are both more affordable and more suited to individual and family circumstances.”

Senator Schumer fired-back at the GOP’s new push to help reform the Affordable Care Act, saying the Trump administration has been hoping to kill the bill “since day one.”

“Since day one, the Trump administration playbook on health care has been to sabotage the marketplaces, jack up costs and premiums for millions of middle-class Americans. Then – as a supposed life-line to a self-inflicted crisis – offering junk insurance that fails to offer protections for those with pre-existing conditions or coverage of essential health benefits and more,” said the Senate Minority Leader.

McCain's Mutiny: Here's What He Told Trump Before SAVING Obamacare

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.05.17

Senator John McCain has opened-up about his private conversation with President Trump just moments before voting “no” on the GOP-controlled Senate’s efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare, telling Trump the legislation was “insanity” and he was “sorry.”

McCain was speaking with Esquire magazine when he was asked to weigh-in on his last-minute phone call with the President as the Senate voted on the Republican’s “skinny” repeal of the Affordable Care Act.

According to the Senator, Vice President Pence was actively attempting to persuade McCain to vote “yes” along with this GOP colleagues; with the two leaders meeting in a private office near the Floor.

Eventually, Trump phoned McCain in a last-ditch effort to save the failing legislation.

“Few were aware of the extraordinary pressure McCain had been under just before the vote. Vice-President Pence tried to persuade him both on the Senate floor and in his private office, where McCain took a call from Trump,” writes Esquire.

“I said, ‘I thank you, Mr. President, for your involvement,'” McCain said. “But I said, ‘I cannot vote for something called Skinny Repeal. I can’t do it. I didn’t even see the bill until today. I mean, this is insanity. I appreciate the call and now I have to go vote, and I’m sorry.'”

RYAN'S REVENGE: Paul Ryan RIPS John McCain's Infamous OBAMACARE Surrender

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.13.18

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan slammed Arizona Senator John McCain Tuesday morning, calling out the ‘GOP Maverick’ for his crucial ‘no’ vote that sank the Republican’s seven-year pledge to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Rep. Ryan was speaking with Fox Business when he was asked to comment on the recently passed bipartisan budget agreement; urging his “partners in government” to come together and tackle “entitlement reform.”

“The House Republicans passed the biggest entitlement reform package ever when we passed our healthcare bill. Unfortunately, somebody did this,” mocking Senator McCain’s iconic ‘thumbs-down’ vote to save the nation’s failing healthcare law, “Instead of that.”

“We passed a budget before that that cut $7.4 trillion in spending over ten years in the House. The problem is that we have to get our partners in government to be willing to do the kind of entitlement reform we’re willing to do in the House.
