GANGLAND: Democrat Candidate ROBBED DURING EVENT in Chicago

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.12.18

A Democratic candidate running for Illinois Attorney General –the state’s chief legal officer- was robbed at gunpoint during an official photoshoot in Chicago on Thursday; further highlighting the cities crippling crime wave that took the lives of over 600 people in 2017 alone.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Democrat Aaron Goldstein and his campaign staff were suddenly approached by at least three men who appeared to be in their early twenties. One individual brandished a pistol, demanding the candidate and his crew hand over their cameras and private property.

“The gunman and two other men robbed Goldstein and four others of camera equipment and their cellphones before they ran away,” writes the Tribune.

Goldstein, 42, commented on the incident on social media, saying “thank you all for your concern, well wishes, thoughts and prayers. My team and I are all good.”

President Trump announced last summer that his administration would be sending federal aid to help crackdown on Chicago’s escalating gun violence, saying “Crime and killings in Chicago have reached such epidemic proportions that I am sending in Federal help.”

Chicago Bishop Demands Mayor Emanuel Remove Statue of George Washington

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.13.17

A Chicago Bishop is calling on Mayor Rahm Emanuel to remove the name of President George Washington from a southside park.

In a letter addressed to the Mayor and posted to Facebook, Bishop James E. Dukes, pastor of Liberation Christian Center, calls for the removal Washington’s name as well as that of President Andrew Jackson. Dukes argues that their “active participation in the slave trade” makes them unfit for the honor of being held as heroes.

We as Chicagoans must now take the microscope and place it on the statues, monuments and parks that we give honor to,” Bishop Dukes wrote in a letter to Emanuel. “We cannot allow slavery and racism to be awarded in our communities by honoring individuals that indeed partook in the very institution that has kidnapped, murdered, raped, and terrorized our forefather and mothers.”

“Therefore, I call on the immediate removal of President George Washington and President Andrew Jackson names from the parks located on the southeast side of Chicago,” Dukes added. “They should not have the distinct honor of being held as heroes when they actively participated in the slave trade. I fully expect that the Chicago Park District and Mayor Rahm Emanuel share in my sentiments and views; that Chicago will not be a place that embraces racism, slavery and its treacherous tentacles. But rather, Chicago will be a beacon of hope for a better tomorrow for all its’ residents.”

According to CBS Chicago, Dukes also wants the removal of a statue of Washington found in the same park:

“When I see that, I see a person who fought for the liberties, and I see people that fought for the justice and freedom of white America, because at that moment, we were still chattel slavery, and was three-fifths of humans,” he said. “Some people out here ask me, say ‘Well, you know, he taught his slaves to read.’ That’s almost sad; the equivalent of someone who kidnaps you, that you gave them something to eat.”

City of Chicago Posts Official Guidelines for Nuclear Attack

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.27.17

The City of Chicago’s official website offers advice for those unfortunate enough to be caught in the midst of a North Korean nuclear strike on the Windy City; advising residents to “turn away” from the blast and “drop to the ground face down and place your hands under your body.”

The eerie procedures offer a glimpse into what a nuclear strike on a major American city might look like, and offer important guidelines for people living in the region over how to respond to a nuclear explosion on the United States.

“A nuclear blast is an explosion with intense light and heat, a damaging pressure wave and widespread radioactive material that can contaminate the air, water and ground surfaces for miles around. During a nuclear incident, it is important to avoid radioactive material, if possible,” says the website.

The site tells people near the nuclear blast to “turn away and close and cover your eyes to prevent damage to your sight” and “remain flat until the heat and two shock waves have passed.” It also instructs individuals who are already outside to “find something to cover your mouth and nose, such as a scarf, handkerchief, or other cloth.”

The disturbing guidelines come as the war of words between North Korea and the United States continues to escalate. Earlier this week, communist dictator Kim Jong Un vowed to turn the United States into “ash” over harsh new UN economic sanctions.

The sanctions were placed on North Korea after the regime successfully fired two, long-range intercontinental ballistic missile; both of which could reach targets as far away as Chicago.
