President Donald Trump slammed Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the city’s top law enforcement officials Friday, publicly blaming “bad leadership” for the escalating gun crisis sweeping the nation’s third largest metropolis.
The Commander-in-Chief was holding a round table discussion over the region’s violent weekend when he called-out decades of Democratic rule; adding nothing like this “should be happening” anywhere in America.
“In terms of our nation, nobody would believe it could be happening,” said the President after a violent weekend that left over 70 people injured. “It’s called bad leadership. Bad stuff happening. There’s no reason in a million years that something like that should be happening in Chicago.”
