The US economy continues to roar to life under President Donald Trump and the Republican-controlled Congress with February job growth revised upward to a staggering 313,000 full-time positions; smashing the all-time record for the number of Americans employed.
According to CNBC, non-farm payroll jobs surged in February by over 313,000; ‘crushing’ expectations from earlier this month that predicted growth at a healthy 200,000.
The unemployment rate remained steady at 4.1%, the lowest level since December 2000.
The new data also shows the United States has a record number of Americans employed at over 155 million people; the highest level since the Bureau of Labor Statistics began tallying the numbers.
“The number of employed Black Americans hit a record high of 19,087,000 last month, and a record 72,530,000 women 16 and older were counted as employed,” writes CNS News.
The strong economic comes as millions of Americans are receiving higher wages, big bonuses, and expanded benefits just months after President Trump signed the sweeping overhaul of the nation’s outdated tax-code into law.
