GUNMAN IDENTIFIED: California Shooter Identified as 28-Year-Old Former Marine

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.08.18

The lone gunman behind Wednesday night’s deadly assault on a “college country night” party at a California bar has been identified as a former Marine, reports Fox News.

Investigators officially named the suspect as 28-year-old veteran Ian David Long just hours after he opened-fire at the Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks, California; killing 12 people before turning the gun on himself.

“We’ve had several contacts with Mr. Long over the years, minor events such as a traffic collision. He was a victim of a battery in a bar in 2015,” confirmed Sheriff Geoff Dean.

Long served in the Marine Corps from August 2008 to March 2013 and was deployed in Afghanistan in November 2010 and June 2011.

“Obviously, he had something going on in his head that would cause him to do something like this. Obviously, he had some sort of issue,” added Dean.

CALIFORNIA SHOOTING: Lone Gunman Leaves 12 Dead at ‘College Country Night’

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.08.18

A black-clad gunman with a semi-automatic pistol attacked a packed college bar in California Wednesday night; leaving 12 dead and more injured at a “country night” themed party.

According to Fox News, “Hundreds of people — including students from California Lutheran University, private Christian school Pepperdine University and California State University Channel Islands — were inside Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, Calif., for the country music event when shots suddenly rang out at about 11:20 p.m., Ventura County police said. Police said at least 30 shots were fired and the gunman, armed with a .45-caliber handgun, used a smoke device to disorient and confuse his targets.”

“It is a horrific scene in there. There is blood everywhere,” said Sheriff Geoff Dean.

One of the victims was Sheriff Sgt. Ron Helus, a 29-year-veteran on the force.

“Ron was a hardworking dedicated sheriff sergeant,” said Dean. “He was totally committed. He gave his all. And tonight, as I told his wife, he died a hero because he went in to save lives. To save other people.”

MORE RED FLAGS: YouTube Shooter Visited GUN RANGE, Brother CALLED POLICE

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.04.18

Just hours after a 39-year old YouTube user opened fire at the video-sharing company’s California Campus, new details are emerging about the suspected shooter’s final hours; with reports now showing she visited a gun range prior to the attack.

Despite multiple videos ranting against YouTube for “filtering” her content, Nasim Aghdam was still able to launch her devastating attack on the company’s headquarters; evading police just hours before her rampage.

The surprising details raise new questions whether local law enforcement missed multiple opportunities to prevent the deadly attack. According to multiple sources, police found the suspected shooter sleeping in her car just hours before the assault.

“At no point during our roughly 20 minute interaction with her did she mention anything about YouTube, if she was upset with them, or that she had planned to harm herself or others,” said the Mountain View Police Department. “Throughout our entire interaction with her, she was calm and cooperative.”

The revelation comes as the suspect’s brother confirmed he called law enforcement to warn them of his sister’s dangerous situation, saying she may “do something” at YouTube.

“She went all the way from San Diego, so she might do something,” he told KGTV.
