HANNITY: Is the GOP FINALLY DEAD?

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.26.18

Sean Hannity unloaded on congressional Republicans for their total inability to pass a conservative and principled budget Friday; wondering whether the GOP was finally dead after sending the President the pork-filled proposal that could have easily been created by Democratic leadership.

“This is not complicated to figure out. It’s not hard; it’s very basic, it’s very simple, it’s very fundamental and it’s been something I’ve been telling you about for a long time: The Republican Party is dead,” said Hannity.

“They have no life in them whatsoever. None, zero, zip. They don’t have a vision, they don’t have principles, they don’t stand for anything. That’s how we now find ourselves in the mess we’re in,” he added.

“They go ahead and without anyone reading it pass a $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill,” said Sean. “It’s 2,232 pages full of pork and spending that nobody should ever spend. I look at this thing and think it easily could have been passed by Pelosi and Schumer.”

DEMS DITCH DREAMERS: Dems BACK AWAY from DACA PLEDGE Ahead of Budget Talks

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.19.18

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer are backing away from previous pledges to include ‘Dreamer’ protections in any upcoming budget negotiations; signaling their flexibility on finding a DACA solution ahead of the bipartisan discussions.

According to the Hill, the Democratic leaders are reversing course from promises made just weeks ago when they vowed to include a permanent DACA fix in any budget resolution heading into 2018; now urging both parties to “drop contentious” policies buried in the bill.

“I think that’s probably the best policy for us to do,” said House Democratic Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer. “It’s also politically the most feasible way to get an omnibus passed.”

“Our best leverage is 90 percent of the American people — 87 percent — think this ought to be done,” he added.

Not all Democrats are pleased with the decision, with outspoken immigration advocate Rep. Luis Gutierrez of Illinois blasting the decision, saying “We need a budget or spending measure that includes the Dream Act.”

NEVER AGAIN: Trump Signs Budget Bill, Warns Congress it ‘Won’t Happen Again’

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.23.18

President Trump signed the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill at a ceremony in the White House Friday; blasting the budget over its failure to address critical spending issues but saying it needed to pass to protect the nation’s military and avert a government shutdown.

While the proposal fails to address DACA and the President’s border wall, it does secure a pumped-up defense budget by more than $60 billion from the same period last year.

“As a matter of national security I’ll sign this omnibus budget bill,” said the President, before issuing a stark warning to Congress.

“There are a lot of things I’m unhappy about in this bill. There are a lot of things we shouldn’t have had in this bill but we were, in a sense, forced [to] if we want to build our military, we were forced to have,” he added.

“But I say to Congress, I will never sign another bill like this again. I’m not going to do it again,” said the Commander-in-Chief.
