HANNITY: Michael Avenatti Deserves DUE PROCESS, Presumption of Innocence

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.15.18

Speaking during his opening monologue on ‘Hannity’ Wednesday night, Sean weighed-in on the recent arrest of celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti; saying all Americans -including Avenatti- deserve due process and the presumption of innocence.

“I have been saying all during the Kavanaugh hearings, a foundational principle in a fair and just society. If you remember Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings, we defended this principle from baseless attacks,” said Hannity.

“Michael Avenatti has been arrested. He was taken into custody by the LAPD. He’s been charged with Felony Domestic Violence. He’s denying these allegations… I will be consistent on the issues of due process and the presumption of innocence,” he added.

Celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti spoke with reporters Wednesday night after his sudden arrest on charges of ‘Felony Domestic Violence,’ saying he would “never strike a woman” and will be “fully exonerated” in time.

“I have never struck a woman. I never will strike a woman. I have been an advocate for women’s rights my entire career and I’m going to continue being an advocate. I’m not going to be intimidated from stopping what I’m doing,” said Avenatti.

“I’m the father to two beautiful, smart daughters. I would never disrespect them by touching a woman inappropriately or striking a woman. I am looking forward to a full investigation at which point I am confident I will be fully exonerated,” he added.

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.13.18

A new poll released by Morning Consult is throwing cold-water on celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti’s 2020 ambitions; showing approximately 0% of Democrats want him to be their party’s nominee against President Trump.

The stunning survey shows former Vice President Joe Biden leading the field with 26%, Senator Bernie Sanders with 19%, and Texas Democrat Beto O’Rourke with 8%.

Rounding out the bottom of the list with no support is former Attorney General Eric Holder and Michael Avenatti; each with 0%.

“Zero percent of Democrats said their first choice for president was former Attorney General Eric Holder, former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, Stormy Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti or Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.), who back in July 2017 was first to declare his candidacy for the party’s nomination,” writes Morning Consult.
