Another investigator at the heart of Robert Mueller’s months-long witch hunt into Russian “collusion” in the 2016 general election has previous ties to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama; including providing legal work for the Clinton Foundation.
Jeannie Rhee is a former Deputy Assistant General at the Department of Justice, and is a key member of the special counsel’s ongoing probe into President Trump’s relationship with Russian officials.
According to the Daily Mail, Rhee is under increased scrutiny for legal services she provided to the Clinton Foundation, defending Hillary’s organization during a racketeering lawsuit brought about by a conservative activist from Freedom Watch.
Rhee also provided legal work for former President Barack Obama’s advisor Ben Rhodes, who was forced to testify before Congress regarding his connection to the deadly Benghazi terror attack that took the life of a US ambassador.
Chair of the House Judiciary Committee Rep. Goodlatte pressed FBI Director Christopher Wray on Thursday over the recent revelations that multiple people connected with Mueller’s probe harbored anti-Trump sentiments.
“Reports on the bias of some of the career agents and lawyers on current special counsel Mueller’s team are also deeply troubling to a system of blind and equal justice,” said Goodlatte. “Investigations must not be tainted by individuals imposing their own personal political opinions.”
