White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders unloaded on CNN White House correspondent April Ryan on Tuesday, slamming the left-leaning reporter over her criticism of President Trump’s comments that Congressional Democrats acted “Un-American” during his State of the Union address.
The Press Secretary was fielding questions from her reporters during her daily briefing when Ryan pressed her to weigh-in on Trump’s comments in Ohio, where he said liberal legislators acted like they “don’t love our country very much” during his annual speech to Congress.
“What is so un-American about this, this year, after this has been going on for all of these years?” asked Ryan.
“I think its un-American not to be excited about the fact that more people in this country have jobs than they did before, the fact that more people in this country have higher wages than they did before, the fact that the economy is booming like it wasn’t before, the fact that ISIS is being crushed like it wasn’t before,” fired-back Sanders.
“These are things that I don’t care what party you are from, these are things that every American should be excited about and be able to celebrate,” she added.
