FBI Director Christopher Wray is instructing his agency to provide anti-political bias training to its agents this week; despite claims in the Inspector General’s report there was “no bias” in the bureau’s botched Hillary investigation.
According to the Washington Times, Wray promised Thursday to take “a number of steps” to avoid a repeat of the political turmoil and upheaval that plagued the agency throughout the 2016 race for the White House.

“The new report said that while bias didn’t appear to affect the big decisions in the handling of the initial investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email practices, they couldn’t rule out a role for bias in pushing the FBI to focus on the Russia probe in October 2016, rather than go back to review a new set of emails found on the laptop of Anthony Weiner,” writes the Times.
The Director’s pledge comes hours after the IG report revealed new text messages between DOJ employees, with one vowing to “stop” Donald Trump from winning the presidency.
