IT BEGINS: Left Wing Activists Preparing NATIONWIDE Protests Ahead of Trump’s Court Pick

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.09.18

The left-wing, anti-Trump organization ‘Refuse Fascism’ is preparing nationwide protests across the country Monday evening; launching the demonstrations just minutes after President Trump announces his pick to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court.

According to the Daily Caller, the liberal activists are attempting to organize demonstrations in at least 12 major US cities -such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, and others- to coincide with Trump’s announcement at 9PM from the White House.

“The Trump/Pence Regime poses a catastrophic danger to humanity and the planet, and that it is our responsibility to drive them from power through non-violent protests that grow every day until our demand is met,” said the group’s website.

Despite the planned protests, the President has yet to announce his candidate to fill the court vacancy.

BREAKING: Justice ANTHONY KENNEDY to Retire, NEW VACANCY on the Supreme Court

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.27.18

Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced Wednesday his plans to retire from the nation’s highest court; creating a new vacancy to be filled by President Trump.

Kennedy revealed his decision in a letter delivered to President Trump Wednesday afternoon, saying he was prepared to step down from the court.

“For a member of the legal profession, it is the highest of honors to serve on this Court,” he wrote. “Please permit me by this letter to express my profound gratitude for having had the privilege to seek in each case how best to know, interpret and defend the Constitution and the laws that must always conform to its mandates and promises.”

“Justice Kennedy, 81, has long been the decisive vote in many closely divided cases. His retirement gives President Trump the opportunity to fundamentally change the course of the Supreme Court,” writes the New York Times.

BREAKING: Supreme Court Sides with BAKER Who Refused to Make Same-Sex Wedding Cake

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.04.18

The United States Supreme Court released a highly-anticipated decision Monday morning, siding with a Colorado baker who refused to make a same-sex wedding cake.

In a surprise 7-2 decision, the court discounted an earlier ruling against the baker in a Colorado court, but refused to go so far as to decide the broader issue of whether American businesses have the basic right to refuse service to same-sex couples over religious beliefs.

“The Commission’s hostility was inconsistent with the First Amendment’s guarantee that our laws be applied in a manner that is neutral toward religion,” wrote Justice Kennedy.

The decision went on to say the “broader issue must await further elaboration.”

“The reason and motive for the baker’s refusal were based on his sincere religious beliefs and convictions. The Court’s precedents make clear that the baker, in his capacity as the owner of a business serving the public, might have his right to the free exercise of religion limited by generally applicable laws,” Kennedy wrote. “Still, the delicate question of when the free exercise of his religion must yield to an otherwise valid exercise of state power needed to be determined in an adjudication in which religious hostility on the part of the State itself would not be a factor in the balance the State sought to reach.”
