MERKEL’S MESS: German Government ‘FACING COLLAPSE’ Over Immigration Policy

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.15.18

German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s government is facing an imminent “collapse” over her coalition’s unpopular stance on immigration and asylum seekers pouring into the European Union.

According to Fox News, her coalition government is unraveling over recent proposals that would severely limit the number of migrants entering Germany; a policy harshly opposed by Merkel who is seen as the de facto leader of the E.U

The German Chancellor stunned her fellow European leaders in 2015 when she announced her “open door” policy, which permitted at least one million refugees from Syria and other countries to enter the continent.

Because the E.U. allows the “free movement of people” between any member state, Merkel’s decision allowed the migrants to immediately relocate to other countries within the trading bloc; including the UK, Poland, France, and others.

“Personally, I think that illegal migration is one of the challenges for the European Union and therefore I believe that we shouldn’t act unilaterally, that we shouldn’t act without coordination and that we shouldn’t act in a way that burdens third parties, involved,” Merkel said.

RICE ADVICE: Condi Rice Says US Will be ‘JUST FINE’ if Trump Scraps Iran Deal

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.01.18

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice isn’t too concerned with President Trump’s possible withdrawal from the Iranian nuclear agreement; saying the United States will be “just fine” outside the international pact.

“The allies love this deal, and I certainly hope that in their meeting with President Trump that [French President Emmanuel] Macron and [German Chancellor Angela] Merkel talk about ways to improve the deal if we’re going to stay in it,” Rice told Fox News.

“But if we get out of this deal, it’s going to be just fine,” she said. “The Iranians, I think, will try and stay in because they do want that investment eventually to start flowing,” she added.

“I would probably have stayed in for alliance management purposes, but I have no argument,” said the former Bush official. “If the president decides to pull out of the deal, I have no argument with that.”

President Trump is expected to announce his decision within weeks, with European allies and Iran scrambling to put forth a possible “Plan B” should the US opt-out of the agreement.

TEHRAN’S TANTRUM: Iran Pledges to ‘RESTART NUCLEAR PROGRAM’ If Deal Stalls

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.11.18

Iranian officials vowed to “restart” their nuclear program on a massive-scale should the international treaty collapse; accusing the Trump administration of “dragging the Middle East into chaos.”

Iran Foreign Minister Javad Zarif released an official statement regarding the failing nuclear deal Friday, claiming his government was poised to restart the banned weapons program on an “industrial scale” should other nations pull-out from the agreement.

Zarif went on to blast President Trump for his “ignorance and folly” and announced upcoming visits to world capitals to help prop-up the international pact.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel endorsed the deal during a speech Friday, saying the Trump administration’s decision to withdraw would be hard to overcome because a “huge economic power has left.”

“We hope we can, but there are a lot of things playing a role in this,” she added. “We will have to discuss that with Iran.”
