MUELLER’S MISSION: The Special Counsel EXPANDS Team, Hires More Prosecutors

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.05.18

Special counsel Robert Mueller is hiring additional prosecutors and diverting more Justice Department resources towards his investigation into Russia-Trump collusion; escalating his months-long war against the White House.

According to Bloomberg, Mueller’s 17-person team is reportedly swamped with “higher-than-expected volume” of court challenges and legal problems surrounding his never-ending probe into the Trump campaign.

“According to his most recent statement of expenditures, more money is being spent on work done by permanent Department of Justice units than on Mueller’s own dedicated operation. The DOJ units spent $9 million from the investigation’s start in May 2017 through March of this year, compared with $7.7 million spent by Mueller’s team,” writes Bloomberg.

The special counsel’s probe has come under fire in recent weeks after multiple court challenges and a scathing IG report raised serious questions over Mueller’s investigation.

“Whatever you got, finish it the hell up because this country is being torn apart,” Rep. Trey Gowdy told the Deputy Attorney General last week, urging an immediate end to the year-long probe.

COLLUSION CHAOS: Robert Mueller DISMISSES CHARGES Against Former Trump Insider

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.27.18

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s office moved to officially dismiss recent charges against Rick Gates Tuesday afternoon, after the former deputy chairman to President Trump’s 2016 campaign pleaded guilty to charges of money laundering and tax fraud, reports the Washington Post.

Both Gates and Manafort were previously indicted with multiple counts of conspiracy to launder money, acting as unregistered agents on behalf of foreign governments, making false statements, and failure to disclose financial records.

The special counsel’s office decision to drop the charges signals Gates may be offering to cooperate with Mueller’s probe into Manafort’s finances; further suggesting the ongoing investigation into Russian “collusion” centers on the former campaign chairman’s foreign investments and financial ties.

Rick Gates joined the Trump campaign in the early months of 2016 after Manafort was hired as chairman, and worked under him as his deputy in the run-up to the US presidential election.

Paul Manafort has maintained his innocence throughout Mueller’s probe, vowing to fight the allegations in court since his initial indictment last October.

Mueller's Attorney VISITED CLINTONS on Election Night

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.08.17

A senior attorney on special counsel Robert Mueller’s legal team has even more connections to the Clinton campaign than previously thought; attending Hillary’s election night soiree in New York City along with other senior aides, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Andrew Weissmann, described by the New York Times as Mueller’s “pit-bull,” allegedly attended the Clinton Campaign’s supposed victory party last November.

“Mr. Weissmann also attended Hillary Clinton’s election-night party at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York, according to people familiar with his attendance,” writes the Journal.

Earlier this week, government watchdog agency Judicial Watch released an email exchange between the attorney and acting Attorney General Sally Yates, praising her decision to rebuke President Trump’s initial travel ban.

“I am so proud. And in awe. Thank you so much. All my deepest respects,” he wrote in late January.

Weissmann’s anti-Trump bias, along with other senior officials scattered throughout the special counsel’s office, raises serious ethical and legal questions over Mueller’s probe into Russia-Trump collusion in the 2016 election.

On Thursday, the Wall Street Journal urged Robert Mueller to step-down from his position, citing a host of conflicts of interest and the recent revelations regarding anti-Trump political bias throughout the investigation.
