NEW YORK SHUFFLE: Sen. Gillibrand BACKTRACKS, Now OPPOSES Second Amendment

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.12.18

New York Senator and possible 2020 presidential hopeful Kirsten Gillibrand dialed-back her vocal support for the Second Amendment in a recent interview, saying she was “embarrassed” over her previous gun rights position and admitting she “was wrong.”

The left-wing lawmaker was speaking with CBS News’ ’60 Minutes’ when she was pressed on her previous policies regarding gun control, particularly her comments that earned her an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association.

“Why the 180?” asked ’60 minutes.’

“After I got appointed I went down to Brooklyn to meet with families who had suffered from gun violence in their communities and you immediately experience the feeling that I couldn’t have been more wrong… I only had the lens of upstate New York,” said Gillibrand, despite the fact she had lived in New York City for years before her appointment.

“I was embarrassed,” she added. “I was wrong. What it’s about is the power of the NRA and the greed of that industry.”

DACA DELUSION: Kirsten Gillibrand Says ‘Chain Migration’ is a ‘RACIST SLUR’

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.29.18

New York Senator and possible 2020 presidential hopeful Kirsten Gillibrand continued her crusade against President Trump’s proposed immigration overhaul on Monday; telling television viewers that the term “chain migration” is somehow a “racist slur” against immigrants and foreigners.

Gillibrand was speaking with ‘The View’ when she unloaded on the President’s proposal to provide a pathway to citizenship for nearly 2 million ‘Dreamers’ in exchange for ending “chain migration” and increased funding for his border wall.

“Do you agree with Nancy Pelosi when she says Trump wants to ‘Make America White Again’ and that’s what this is all about?” asked co-host Joy Behar.

“I think a lot of President Trump’s rhetoric is racist. Let’s be very clear: When someone uses the phrase chain migration it is intentional in trying to demonize families, literally trying to demonize families and make it a racist slur, it is not right. We have to change the debate” Gillibrand said.

TRUMP STRIKES BACK: The President UNLOADS on ‘Lightweight’ Kirsten Gillibrand

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.12.17

President Trump called-out Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand on social media Tuesday morning, blasting the New York legislator for getting “in the ring against Trump” after she “begged” him for campaign contributions.

The President lashed-out at the liberal lawmaker on twitter early Tuesday morning, calling the Senator a “lightweight” and a “total flunky for Chuck Schumer,” adding the New York legislator was “very disloyal to Bill & Crooked [Hillary].”

“Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office ‘begging’ for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!” Trump tweeted.

The President’s comments come hours after Gillibrand called for Trump’s resignation over unfounded reports of sexual misconduct before he took office.

The Senator fired-back at Trump on twitter, saying she “cannot” be silenced.

“You cannot silence me or the millions of women who have gotten off the sidelines to speak out about the unfitness and shame you have brought to the Oval Office,” she posted.
