NOT SO FAST: Republican DEFEATS Democrat in Arizona Special Election

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.25.18

GOP candidate Debbie Lesko won the House special election in Arizona Tuesday night; fending off a fierce fight from her Democratic challenger and holding a pivotal district carried by Donald Trump in the 2016 election.

As the polls closed, Lesko defeated Democrat Hiral Tipirneni by a margin of 53% to 47%, dashing liberal hopes of turning the red seat blue heading into the high-stakes 2018 midterms.

The tighter-than-expected results are sending alarm bells throughout Republican circles in Washington, who are sounding the alarm over a district the President won by 21% over Hillary Clinton.

“These election results are a wake up call to Republicans in Arizona and nationally,” a major GOP donor told Politico. “Winning the Arizona 8th by such a small margin portends very little margin of error for Gov. Doug Ducey and the eventual Arizona Republican Senate nominee this fall.”

“Republicans shouldn’t be hitting the alarm, they should be slamming it,” added another GOP strategist. “This district isn’t supposed to be competitive, and so to see this margin, especially with the Republicans pouring in resources here — again, it’s a tough year.”

‘BAMA GOES BLUE: Democrat DOUG JONES Wins Alabama Special Election

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.13.17

Democrat Doug Jones narrowly defeated GOP candidate Roy Moore in Alabama’s highly-contested Senatorial special election on Tuesday; sending a liberal legislator to represent the Cotton State for the first time in over two decades.

Jones claimed victory with 99.9% of the vote reporting, clinging to a razor-thin margin of 49.9% to Moore’s 48.4%, saying “We have come so far and the people of Alabama have spoken.”

All eyes now turn to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell

“Alabama has been at a crossroads. We have been at crossroads in the past. And unfortunately, we have usually taken the wrong fork. Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, you took the right road,” he added.

President Trump congratulated Jones on social media late Tuesday evening, saying the GOP will have “another shot” at the Senate seat in a “very short period of time,” but added that a “win is a win” for the Democratic party.

“Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. It never ends!” Trump tweeted.

All eyes now turn to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his push to pass tax reform legislation before the GOP majority shrinks by one vote when Jones is sworn into office.

A NEW LOW: Liberal Ad Shows 'Racist' GOP Voters MOWING DOWN Minority Kids

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.15.17

A left-leaning Hispanic voting organization stood by their shocking new advertisement on Tuesday; doubling-down on a vicious campaign video that showed a random GOP voter intentionally mowing down minority children in his Confederate-flag adorned pick-up truck.

The stunning video, titled “American Nightmare,” was released by the Latino Victory Fund and shows groups of minority children fleeing a marauding supporter of GOP Virginia gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie; chasing his would-be victims in a “confederate” truck with a “Don’t tread on me” license plate.

Virginia Democrat candidate Ralph Northam defended the video on Tuesday, saying Gillespie’s own rhetoric forced the liberal organization to create the ad.

“Independent groups are denouncing Ed Gillespie because he has run the most divisive, fear-mongering campaign in modern history,” Northam campaign spokeswoman Ofirah Yheskel told Fox News. “It is not shocking that communities of color are scared of what his Trump-like policy positions mean for them.”
