NUNES GOES NUCLEAR: Devin Nunes Threatens to 'IMPEACH' Rosenstein, Wray

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.11.18

Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes threatened FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein with “impeachment” Tuesday night over their continued stonewalling of his Russia investigation.

“The Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) is threatening to ‘hold in contempt and impeach’ FBI director Christopher Wray and Department of Justice Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein if they do not turn over a less than two-page document requested by the committee months ago, which outlined the bureau’s initiation of the case to investigate President Trump’s 2016 campaign and alleged Russia collusion,” writes Sara Carter.

“Nunes has battled the DOJ and the Bureau for information for more than a year and threatened contempt in January when Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein refused to hand over documentation requested by the committee,” she adds.

DEMOCRATS PANIC: Nunes Says FISA MEMO Only ‘PHASE ONE,’ Eyes Hillary’s STATE DEPT.

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.05.18

House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes raised alarm bells within Democratic circles on Monday, saying his decision to release the bombshell FISA memo was just “phase one” in his efforts to get to the bottom of anti-Trump abuse throughout the federal government.

Nunes was speaking with Fox News when he outlined his vision for the next stage of the Committee’s investigation into widespread abuse at the FBI, Department of Justice, and beyond; adding he plans to “follow the facts where they lead.”

“What we will do in phase two is follow the facts where they lead, and when we get enough facts, we will figure out a way to let the American people know,” he told Fox & Friends.

“Phase one of our investigation was getting to the FISA abuse. What we’re looking at now is the State Department and some of the irregularities there,” he added.

Nunes’ comments come months after Attorney General Jeff Sessions confirmed his Department of Justice was investigating “certain issues” inside former President Barack Obama’s State Department; including Hillary’s Uranium One deal and possible “pay-to-play” arrangements between the State Department and Clinton Foundation.

DEVIN’S DEADLINE: Nunes Gives FBI ONE WEEK to Hand Over RUSSIA INTEL

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.05.18

House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes threatened to sue the Department of Justice and the FBI this week over their continued refusal to release official documents related to the ongoing Russia probe.

Rep. Nunes sent a scathing letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein demanding the material; saying the officials failed to comply with subpoenas issued last month.

“On March 14th, 2018, Committee investigators were given access to a still heavily redacted version of the EC (FBI memo known as an electronic communication), which — as I informed Director Wray the next day via phone — was unsatisfactory,” Nunes wrote.

“On March 23, 2018, FBI’s Assistant Director for Legislative Affairs informed the Committee that FBI would refuse to further unredact the EC (FBI memo) based on its sensitivity. The document in question is not highly classified, and law enforcement sources have apparently not been shy about leaking to the press information that the Department and Bureau refuse to share with Congress,” he added.

“You are hereby directed to produce to the Committee, by Wednesday April 11, 2018, an unredacted version of the EC,” he concluded.
