OFF THE HOOK: Imran Awan Avoids PRISON, Lawyer Attacks DONALD TRUMP

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.21.18

Debbie Wasserman Schultz’ shady IT staffer avoided jail time Tuesday over his possible role in the disappearance of a Democrat-owned data server and security breach, with his attorneys claiming disparaging remarks made by President Trump potentially impacted his hearings.

“Imran Awan, the former IT aide to congressional Democrats whose federal bank fraud case has drawn the interest of top Republicans, avoided jail time Tuesday after the defense complained about disparaging comments made against the defendant by President Trump and others,” writes Fox News.

“During a hearing Tuesday in Washington, U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan sentenced Awan to three months of supervised release plus time served. Chutkan, who cited ‘unfounded allegations’ against Awan, also did not impose a fine,” adds the article.

Awan made national headlines last year after he was arrested while attempting to flee the country at a DC airport.

The IT staffer pleaded guilty in July to multiple bank fraud charges.

Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz’ former IT staffer Imran Awan pleaded guilty to bank fraud charges Tuesday, striking a deal with federal prosecutors to avoid all potential crimes related to his work in the House of Representatives.

“Imran Awan, the former IT aide to congressional Democrats whose federal court case has drawn the interest of President Trump and other Republicans, pleaded guilty Tuesday to federal bank fraud in a plea deal with prosecutors, avoiding federal charges related to his work in Congress,” writes Fox News.

“During a hearing before U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan in Washington, Awan pleaded guilty to making a false statement on a loan application. As part of the deal, the prosecution dropped fraud charges against his wife,” adds the report.

Awan made national headlines last year after he was apprehended while trying to flee the United States at a DC-area airport.

Despite being banned from the Capitol in February 2017, Rep. Schultz kept Awan on her payroll until his arrest that July.

DEBBIE'S DISASTER: Schultz' Shady IT Staffer to Make a PLEA DEAL with DOJ

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.06.18

Debbie Wasserman Schultz found herself in the hot seat Wednesday after her shady IT staffer who attempted to flee to Pakistan announced his plans to reach a plea deal with American prosecutors, reports Fox News.

Schultz’ IT aide, Imran Awan, rose to national headlines last year after he was arrested at a DC area airport while attempting to flee to Pakistan; raising serious questions over his access to top secret DNC emails and documents surrounding the Florida congresswoman.

“Awan and his wife, Hina Alvi, were charged last summer with bank fraud. They now appear poised to strike a plea deal with the Department of Justice. A plea agreement hearing is set for July 3 before U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan in Washington,” Fox News reported Wednesday.

“The House Office of Inspector General tracked the Awans network usage and found that a massive amount of data was flowing from the (congressional) networks,” said Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa. “Over 5,700 logins by the five Awan associates were discovered on a single server within the House.”

Debbie Wasserman Schultz has largely remained silent on the issue, telling a Florida newspaper that she stood by her decision to retain Awan on her payroll for months despite him being barred from access to the US Capitol.
